Chicken Manure Organic Fertilizer Production Process Flow
A chicken manure pellet machine can complete granulation, but the complete production line also includes pre-processing and post-processing. If you plan to expand production capacity in the future, understanding the entire process can help you plan ahead. From fresh chicken manure to high-value fertilizer, the standard process is as follows:
Pre-Process Materials
Fresh chicken manure has a moisture content as high as 60%–75%, so we must first use a solid-liquid separator to dewater it. And thoroughly remove feathers, stones and other impurities through cleaning and screening equipment.
This step can effectively optimize the fermentation environment and lay a solid foundation for subsequent efficient processing.
Mix and Ferment
Add auxiliary materials such as straw and rice husk to the initially processed chicken manure to adjust the carbon-nitrogen ratio, and then perform three-stage mixing with a belt mixer.
Afterwards, the material enters the fermentation tank and continues to ferment at a high temperature of 55-70°C for more than 10 days. During this period, the trough-type turning machine regularly turns the pile to provide oxygen to promote the full decomposition and harmlessness of the materials.
Crush and Dry
A crusher breaks down the fermented material to remove lumps and improve uniformity. Next, a dryer uses hot air to reduce moisture precisely to 18%-25%.
Reasonable moisture content control is a key link to prevent subsequent equipment from clogging and ensure the particle forming rate.
Make Pellets
A forced feeder consistently delivers prepared powder into the pelleting chamber of chicken manure pellet machine. Inside, a ring die and rollers compress the material into shape, and a cutter slices it into uniform pellets.
This process transforms loose organic fertilizer into dense granules, significantly boosting bulk density and easing mechanized application.
Cool and Screen
Fresh pellets exit the machine at 80-95℃ and immediately enter a cooler. The cooling machine brings them down to room temperature, which releases internal stress, enhances hardness, and prevents caking during storage.
Afterwards, a rotary screener removes oversized or undersized particles to ensure uniform granule size.
Bag the Product
A belt conveyor delivers qualified pellets to the automatic packing system. The machine precisely fills bags to preset weights, heat-seals, and stitches them for stacking.
The entire packaging process is highly efficient and automated, which not only significantly reduces labor costs, but also ensures the sealing and stable quality of the product during storage and transportation.

Fermented chicken manure should have 18–25% moisture before entering the chicken manure pellet machine.
Too wet: material sticks in the die holes and blocks them. Pellets become loose and do not hold shape.
Too dry: friction increases, energy consumption rises, and die wear accelerates.
If too wet, use a drum dryer. If too dry, add water or sticky additives.

Yes. Change the ring die hole size to produce 4–12 mm diameter pellets. Cutter position is adjustable. Pellet length is usually 1.5–2.5 times the diameter. How often do I need to replace ring die and roller?

Life depends on material abrasiveness and maintenance. High-wear alloy steel with deep carburizing and quenching lasts 8–12 months. Standard materials last only 1–2 months. Clean residual material regularly. Check roller gap. Avoid overload. This extends life.
