Feeding System

The rabbit feed pellet mill features both forced feeding and variable-frequency drive. This combination feeds light materials steadily into the feeder. You can also adjust the feed rate.

Conditioning System

Conditioning cooks, gelatinizes, and sterilizes the raw materials. RICHI’s conditioner is longer and wider than standard units on the market. Its stainless steel shell resists steam corrosion and material impact during high-temperature conditioning. The forged paddles have adjustable angles, so you can mix ingredients thoroughly.

Pelletizing System

The pelletizing system includes a stainless steel ring die, rollers, deflector, cutter, and other parts. The ring die is made of wear-resistant alloy steel, through-hardened with deep carburization for a longer service life. Die diameter and cutter position are both adjustable.

Conditioning the Raw Materials

First, feed the mixed powder (corn, protein, roughage) into the conditioner of the rabbit feed pellet mill. Saturated high-temperature steam softens the fiber and cooks the mix. Proper conditioning kills harmful microorganisms and distributes nutrients evenly.

Extruding into Cylinders

Next, the conditioned material enters the pelleting chamber. It gets squeezed between the ring die and rollers. Under pressure, the material is forced into the die holes and extruded continuously, forming cylindrical strands.

Uniform Cutting

Raw Material Cleaning

First, a cylinder primary cleaning screen and a permanent magnet cylinder remove impurities – poisonous mold, iron filings, etc. That ensures final pellet quality and protects downstream equipment.

Grinding to Proper Fineness

A rotary distributor sends materials to the grinder. The screen size is customizable, and final particle size is adjustable between 0.5 and 2.0 mm. That meets the digestion needs of rabbits at different growth stages.

Batching and Mixing

An automatic batching scale weighs ingredients according to the formula, with accuracy within ±0.3%. Then a mixer blends them thoroughly. A bucket elevator lifts the mix to the pre-pelleting bin.

Conditioning and Pelleting

Material enters the conditioner of the rabbit feed pellet mill and stays there for 10–20 seconds with steam. Temperature reaches 70–80°C – that’s ready. The ring die and rollers press the material, and the cutter slices it to the required length.

Pellet Cooling

The temperature of freshly made rabbit food is 80°C, so it needs to be sent to a counter-flow cooler to cool down, otherwise it will easily break when exposed to direct air. Then the rotary grading screen selects the qualified ones and enters the finished product warehouse.
